About Sprout

PBS KIDS Sprout is the first preschool destination created for children ages 2-5 and their families. Sprout is available 24-hours a day on TV, on demand and online at www.SproutOnline.com. Interaction between parents and preschoolers is an important element in everything we do. We truly care about our audience and we aim to deliver a very participatory experience for our viewers. From arts and crafts projects and kid-friendly recipes, to birthday submissions and tips on healthy living and giving to those less fortunate, we provide ways for families to celebrate everyday moments together.

Our programming lineup combines trusted shows you already know and love like Sesame Street and Thomas & Friends, new and innovative originals like The Sunny Side Up Show and The Good Night Show, and Sprout exclusives like Fifi & the Flowertots and Roary the Racing Car. Our programming schedule is designed to follow the day of a preschooler — whether it's waking up with songs, filling afternoons with activities, or winding down with stories.

Currently Sprout is available on digital cable and satellite television in approximately 45 million unique households with the following TV providers:

  • AT&T
  • Bright House (varies by market)
  • Comcast
  • Cox Communications
  • DirecTV
  • Insight
  • RCN
  • Time Warner (varies by market)
  • Verizon
  • Other small independent cable operators

Sprout was created as a partnership among Comcast Corporation, HIT Entertainment, PBS and Sesame Workshop.

"Sprout Please!" is a campaign designed to raise awareness of Sprout among families with preschoolers who don’t yet have access to the 24-hour TV channel. Our goal with this website is to provide you with the information you need to approach your provider about having Sprout added to your channel lineup. We hope that support from people like you will help us bring Sprout to all those who are looking for us. Please join us in this effort by telling your family and friends about Sprout.
